Keith Olbermann: Mindreader
Days Until Bush Leaves Office = 312
Last night on MSNBC's "Countdown," host Keith Olbermann gave voice to what I've been thinking and feeling all week, but have been too sickened to write.
Ten minutes of unvarnished truth. Hear, hear.

What Ferraro said may not have been nice but she never said that Obama was not qualified. Let me ask you this... if Obama was white, would he be winning the black vote against the wife of the "first black president"? I know the truth hurts but it is the truth. Ferraro might be a jerk for saying it but how can it be considered racist? How can a legitimate opinion (one that isn't necessarily right but might be) be racist?
It is equally offensive to say that Sen. Clinton is doing well because she is a woman or that Sen. Obama is doing well because he is black, because it discounts their merits (and flaws) and distills them to only their gender or race.
However, people in the media and in the right wing have been claiming both, both boldly and subtly, throughout the primary season. I have yet to see such a virtriolic response to such politics as Olbermann's. Thank you for posting it!
